Ari Perdana is a part-time Ph.D. fellow at UNU-MERIT. He is writing a dissertation on household coping strategies during income shocks. He also works as an Evaluation Specialist at the Independent Evaluation Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, Philippines. Ari has conducted project and country program evaluations in Armenia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyz Republic, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, and Vanuatu. Prior to ADB, Ari worked as a poverty and social protection specialist in his home country, Indonesia. His professional experience includes working at the government of Indonesia, The World Bank Office Indonesia, The Centre for Strategic and International Studies, and The University of Indonesia. Ari holds a Master in Public Administration/International Development from The Harvard Kennedy School, a Master in Economics of Development from The Australian National University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Indonesia.
