Scholarships for our MSc in Public Policy and Human Development

We are pleased to be able to offer 1 partial and 10 full scholarships for our Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development (MPP) programme for the upcoming 2024/25 academic year, details below:


China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship Programme

Full tuition coverage for 10 incoming students who are citizens of China

 The scholarship covers:

  • The tuition fee for one academic year (€16,600 in 2024/25)
  • Monthly cost-of-living financial assistance;
  • Health insurance for up to one academic year; and
  • A return international airfare between China and the Netherlands for the completion of the MPP.

 

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be:

  • A citizen of the People’s Republic of China;
  • Under 28 years of age at the time of application;
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and have experience working in an international organization as an intern or other type of work for at least six (6) months; or
  • Be enrolled in the final year of a Master’s degree programme; or
  • Hold a Master’s degree;
  • Have received an offer of admission to the MPP; and
  • Have paid the application handling fee upon applying to the MPP

 

The timeline for the application procedure is as follows:

  • 22 March 2024: Deadline to complete your application to the MPP programme (including the payment of the handling fee)
  • 30 March 2024: Applicants are informed of acceptance to the MPP
  • 10 April 2024: Deadline for MPP-accepted applicants to apply to CSC
  • From 1 June 2024: CSC informs scholarship applicants of their acceptance

 


The MPP Scholarship

Each year, the MPP Scholarship is awarded to one non-EU student who has not yet had the opportunity to study outside of their home country. There is no age restriction to apply for this scholarship.

The scholarship covers the non-EU institutional tuition fee, which for the academic year 2024/25 amounts to €16,600.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

  • Hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands
  • Have not previously studied outside of their home country
  • Have a Bachelor or pre-Master degree
  • Have received an offer of admission to the MPP
  • Have paid the application handling fee upon applying to the MPP

 

The timeline for the application procedure is as follows:

  • You must have completed your application to the MPP and have paid the application handling fee before 1 February 2024
  • If accepted onto the programme, you can apply for the MPP Scholarship by filling in the application form on this webpage before 15 February 2024
