Yannick is a PhD fellow at the United Nations University (UNU-MERIT) and a team member at the Living Standards Measurement unit of the World Bank. Prior to these roles, he worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). In his research, Yannick collects and uses microdata from large household surveys as well as experimental data to investigate questions centering around health, shocks and conflict, and public service delivery in low- and middle-income countries. Often, these projects aim to innovate the measurement of key development indicators or provide new evidence on hard-to-measure but policy-relevant issues. Yannick holds a postgraduate degree with distinction in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
