UNU-MERIT

UNU-MERIT (the United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology) is one of the largest UNU institutes. We offer an internationally renowned Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development (in partnership with Maastricht University).

To give our students the best possible learning experience, we cooperate with several international organisations, including those within the UN system (such as the International Labour Organization), in order to have contributions from a variety of guest lecturers and external experts.

Besides rigorous academic training, our highly personalised programme also offers students the chance to have one-on-one meetings with a mentor, access to career fairs, information about opportunities at the UN and workshops dedicated to developing soft skills. Many of our 1,200 alumni have gone on to successful careers in policy analysis, policy design, policy monitoring and policy evaluation in organisations across the globe.
