Towards a European Strategy in Support of Innovation in Services
The workshop is the launch event for the European Innovation Platform for Knowledge Intensive Services - the KIS Platform - under the Europe INNOVA Initiative.
The aim of the Platform is to facilitate the creation of more European innovation champions in the field of services. Based on a one-stop-shop approach, sectoral networks will offer integrated support packages to young promising growth firms active in knowledge intensive services. The networks will be built on public-private partnerships connecting the research, incubation, financing and cluster angles. They will be complemented by a horizontal action offering more general support to the overall implementation.
The aim of the workshop is to gather the main stakeholders to discuss the rationale for policy action in the field of knowledge intensive services as well as the scope for collaboration between platform participants and other relevant stakeholders.
