International Day of Women and Girls in Science: Do Periods Matter?

Multiple Speakers,

Our webinar comes with an ambition to spotlight sexual and reproductive health and rights for girls, women and people who menstruate in STEM and beyond, for menstruating persons studying or working in all academic establishments. What are the unique challenges which they face regarding their periods vis-à-vis non-menstruators? How can these be addressed?

Answers to the above questions will be discussed by a panel comprising healthcare practitioners, academics, students and other stakeholders committed to elevating our understanding of how we can bring equity in health for girls, young women and all menstruators in general. Issues such as period poverty, stigma and neglect surrounding reproductive and sexual health will be covered. Our speakers will introduce the topic from different dimensions, and an open discussion with the audience will follow.
