Silent Poverty (Stille Armoede)

Zina Nimeh and Mardoeka Christensen,

Can you be poor in the Netherlands? In a rich city like Maastricht, how do you cope when you can’t make ends meet? Is government aid enough to lift you out of poverty? And if not, who will help you? What does poverty mean for the community and how could it affect the future? This lecture will explore these questions.

The speakers will give a Dutch version of their presentation on 7 september, 20:15-20:45, same location
