About the speaker

Eva Terberger is Professor of Development Finance at the University of Mannheim. Since 2008, she is on academic leave of absence to head the independent Financial Cooperation (FC) Evaluation Department at KfW Development Bank. In that function, she oversees all ex post evaluations of development projects that were implemented via KfW Development Bank. Accordingly, she has in-depth knowledge of FC projects and their results in all sectors. Originally her interest in development countries, however, came from being a close observant of microfinance. She has followed the advancement of microfinance and financial sector development for more than 30 years. Eva Terberger received her PhD and qualification as a university lecturer in business administration at Frankfurt University, Germany. Besides her academic knowledge of evaluation methods she has practical evaluation experience in numerous countries.
