UN policy and guidelines on gender, harassment and human rights - from women's perspective

Shyama Ramani, UNU-MERIT

According to the UN, Gender Mainstreaming means taking up a gender perspective to:

  1. include women's and men's concerns and experiences;
  2. Assess the different implications that any planned action has for women and men;
  3. Ensure that women and men benefit equally;
  4. Make sure gender inequality is not perpetuated.

So how do you think we are doing? Voice your thoughts today during a special brainstorming session at UNU-MERIT.
