Striking Syria
Lutz F. Krebs, Zina Nimeh, et al, Studium Generale
The situation in Syria is worsening day by day. The atrocities which are taking place… The unimaginable cruelty… The enormous number of refugees that have been forced to take shelter… The bombing… The poison gas attacks…
Is there a future for Syria? How will this bloody conflict come to an end? What were the reasons for the onset of this civil war? What groups are fighting? What are the pros en cons of an intervention? What about Russia’s role? What will be the results of the talks? And how about the minimal western humanitarian aid for the Syrian refugees.
Tonight we’re going to discuss these issues in three short lectures and a debate.
