Adam Adou is a PhD fellow of the GPAC2 Dual Career Training Program at UNU-MERIT. His research focus on the importance of environmental performance for African traders in their export decision.

He holds a master’s degree in International Economics, with a specialization in International Trade, from Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne University.

Since 2019, Adam has been working as Associate Program Officer at the International Trade Centre in Geneva where his work focuses on Non-Tariff Measures and obstacles to trade in services. He also provides some trainings to different audiences related to transparency of information on obstacles to trade for both goods and services.

Recently he has been working on identifying key constraints to the development of value chains with high potential in Africa, including sectors such as apparel, automotive, pharmaceuticals and baby food.
