Tobias Hillenbrand is a Ph.D. fellow at UNU-MERIT since 2021. His research focuses on the relationship between immigration and trust in the German context.

He holds a master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy with the distinction "summa cum laude" from Sciences Po Paris and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Mainz.
