Yağmur Yıldız


PhD fellow

Yağmur is a PhD fellow at UNU-MERIT since 2020. Her research interests encompass Economics of Innovation, Economics of Science, Science of Science, and Science and Technology Policy. Her research focuses on scientists' research trajectories under different science funding mechanisms, such as well-established traditional-like European grants (i.e., ERC and MSCA) and crowdfunding for scientific research as an atypical financial source for the scientific community. She is particularly interested in how traditional and crowdfunding mechanisms influence research agendas and career paths.

She holds a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy Studies from Middle East Technical University (METU) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Finance from Ozyegin University, Turkey.
