Soha Youssef is the learning and development coordinator at United Nations University MERIT. After three years working as a researcher focused on migration studies she transitioned to a new role coordinating the university's part-time (dual-career) Ph.D. programme, the Internship Programme, and event management. She is also a mentee as part of the employability track of MPP, where she has discovered a  growing interest in supporting students' professional growth.

Soha holds a double MSc. in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University/UNU-MERIT with a specialisation in Migration studies. Her graduate thesis focused on the decision-making of Sudanese migrants living in Egypt. 

Prior to joining UNU-MERIT Soha obtained her BA from the American University in Cairo where she studied political science, specialising in international law and international relations. After completing her bachelor's degree she worked as a refugee status determination senior assistant in the UNHCR office in Cairo.
