Rushva Parihar

Research Assistant

Rushva Parihar is a Research Assistant for Professor Shyama V. Ramani at UNU-MERIT. His research focuses on the governance of technology and innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals. His special interests are SDG6 and SDG3. He has a multidisciplinary approach towards research, which stems from his personal experiences. He brings his expertise in marketing and brand management to research and uses a business approach towards social causes like sanitation and waste management. He has worked on the FP7 EU Project MNEmerge addressing the role of multinationals in the attainment of the MDG in emerging countries with the UNU-MERIT team. He is also a Research Associate at Friend In Need India, which is focused on studying pathways to SDG6 and a keen participant in several action-research projects that aim to contribute to the Clean India Mission (www.friend-in-need.org) He has a master's degree in management from Brunel University London and Bachelor's degree in Mass Media from the University of Mumbai.  He has previously worked with various companies including Godrej, working on research projects focusing on youth and changing national trends. His engagements with SDG3 are further anchored in his philanthropic activities with Cope with Cancer (www.copewithcancer.org) where he is actively involved.
