Elvis Korku Avenyo is an affiliated researcher at UNU-MERIT (Maastricht University) in the Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Economics of Innovation and Governance from Maastricht University, and a collaborative Master of Philosophy (M Phil.) in Economics from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana) and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC, Nairobi). His doctoral thesis focused on innovations and the performance of formal and informal enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa.
