Michael Verba's research interests include innovation, technological change, and economic growth. His research investigates the relationship between growth, productivity, and technological change, identifies the determinants of innovation, and models the dynamics of creation and transmission of technological knowledge. He has research and work experience, in developed and developing country contexts, in patenting and intellectual property policy. He holds a masters degree in Economics and Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and has taught Masters-level courses in public policy and policy analysis at UNU-MERIT and its School of Governance.
