Lars Johannes is a PhD fellow since 2021. He holds a position as a senior economist in the World Bank based in Washington. His research work focuses on how agglomeration effects explain economic cluster formation and development in Mexico. His interest is in modelling firm relationships at a granular level based on geographical distance and relatedness of industries with respect to pooling of labor, supplier specialization, and spillover of ideas and knowledge.
