Tarek Jaber is a PhD Fellow at UNU-MERIT. His research interests include water security, WASH, and the modeling of infectious diseases. Prior to joining the PhD Programme on Innovation, Economics and Governance for Development, Tarek worked as a Data Analyst at the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health. Additionally, Tarek has worked in WASH with Save the Children International, and has contributed to research on water security in Beirut and the Shatila Palestinian refugee camp. Tarek holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the American University of Beirut.
