Veronika Fajth is an education and research officer at UNU-MERIT/MGSoG. She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Human Development from MGSoG/United Nations University, where she specialised in Migration Studies. She holds bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and in International Business Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest. She joined the Migration Group in September 2016, first working as an intern conducting a quantitative study on social cohesion impacts of hosting refugees for The Economic Impacts of Congolese Refugees in Rwanda: Labour Markets, Social Infrastructure and Aid Effectiveness Project (commissioned by UNHCR). Veronika is currently involved in the Role of European Mobility and its Impacts in Narratives, Debates and EU Reforms (REMINDER), funded by the European Commission (Horizon2020). The component she is working on aims to comprehensively map data on intra-EU migration. In general, her main research interests lie in the areas of migrant integration and forced migration.
