Arriving to Maastricht
Arriving from Amsterdam / Schiphol Airport:
Least expensive is to take a train from Schiphol/Amsterdam Airport to Maastricht Central Station. The price for a one-way ticket is approximately € 25.00 and can be purchased at train stations or online at http://www.ns.nl/en/travellers/home. Arriving from Brussels Airport (Zaventem)
If you decide to fly to Brussels you can take a train to Maastricht. The costs for a one-way ticket are about € 25-30. The itinerary varies greatly. Trains from Zaventem to Brussels North run every 10 to 15 minutes and take about 15 minutes to arrive. At Brussels North you need to check the boards (or ask the ticket vendor at Zaventem/Brussels Airport (http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/) for trains to Liège Guillemins (central station). Arriving from Brussels South Charleroi Airport
If you decide to fly to Charleroi the only possibility would be to take the train to Maastricht. The costs for a one-way ticket are about € 25-30. The itinerary varies greatly. Trains from Charleroi to Liège run every 10 to 15 minutes and take about 1,5 hours to arrive. From Liège you can take the intercity to Maastricht Central Station. Arriving from airport “Düsseldorf International”in Germany
If you decide to fly to Düsseldorf you can take a train to Maastricht. The cost of a one-way ticket are about € 20. Take the sky-train from the terminal to the “airport Düsseldorf train station”. The SkyTrain commutes frequently between the terminal and the “Flughafen” airport railway station. The journey between the two end stops (the “Bahnhof Düsseldorf Flughafen” railway station and “Terminal C”) takes about five minutes. The following tickets are accepted as being valid fare tickets.

Bastion Hotel located on the opposite of our building, offers a discounted price of € 84,00 per room per night, with city tax: € 4,75 per person per night (excluded). You will need to mention the code “GPAC2-MGSoG rate” in your booking request, and the bill will be paid by you. Please always check if regular booking via their website or a hotel booking website does not offer cheaper rates.

Maastricht University Housing
It may be difficult to acquire housing through Maastricht University for short-term stays (1-2 weeks). Below are a few examples of where short-term housing options in Maastricht could potentially be available.
Maastrichthousing is a cooperation between three student housing organisations: Guesthouse UM, Kamerburo and Stichting Studentenhuisvesting Maastricht. It’s their shared goal to service housing for students, employees and guests from Maastricht University, Hogeschool Zuyd and Jan van Eyck Academie. These rooms are usually rented on a minimum 3 months basis. However, they can be booked for short-term stays but requires that students register on their website, book online and then contact guesthouse to adjust the date for the shorter period.
Apart hotel Randwyck
For those guests wishing to stay in Maastricht for a longer period, we offer fully equipped Hotel apartments. The hotel apartments have a living room with an open kitchen, a bathroom with shower and bath, 2 twin bedrooms, one of which has bunk-beds. The apartments have their own front door.

Students that go on exchange and want to sub-rent their room post their information on HousingAnywhere.com. This generally means that this type of accommodation is only available temporarily. Interested students can react to the offers for free. It is on a student-to-student basis. Make sure to ask in advance if the room is still available, ask for photos, NEVER pay in advance for a room, and always ask if the one who is sub-renting out the room has the legal rights to do so.
