Demand, growth and innovation: a review of the Long run linkages.
Andreas Chai, Griffith University
There are three broad goals of this study: The first is to outline how the composition of final demand tends to evolve as household income grows. The second is to discuss what implications these trends in demand have for the industrial composition of growing economies. Finally, the study will discuss how consumption patterns are linked to a range of demographic, geographic, and social factors that may account for observed differences in the cross country consumption patterns.
