George is currently PhD fellow at United Nations University - MERIT. He has a background of economics, holding Masters and M Phil in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. George was a research intern at the UNU-MERIT from October 2017 to January 2018. His research interests encompass Economics of Knowledge and Innovation, Theory of Firm, Capability accumulation of firms in developing countries and Firms' internationalisation. 

His thesis is titles as Microeconomics of capability accumulation: essays on product diversification, innovation and firm dynamics in India. His research advisors are Dr. Nanditha Mathew and Prof. Dr. Carlo Pietrobelli.
