Amber Khan is a PhD fellow at UNU-MERIT/MGSoG. She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Human Development from MGSoG/United Nations University, where she specialized in Migration Studies. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Health and Social Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Neuroscience at Maastricht University. Her master's theses focussed on the role of religiosity in stress resilience in adolescent refugees. She joined the Migration Research Group in February 2017 as an intern working mainly on topics related to (mental) health and migration. Her main interests lie in the field of mental health and migration. Additionally, she works at “Traumazorg Limburg” as a trauma counsellor for migrants and refugees in Belgium.
