Purity Njagi is a GPAC2 PhD fellow at UNU-MERIT since 2016. She holds two master’s degrees in Demography, and Statistics; and a Bachelor of education in Economics & Accounting from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.

She is a Monitoring and Evaluation professional specializing in Population, Health and Social protection programmes. She has worked and consulted for various international agencies across Africa including the UN, PwC, DFID, Population Council and others. Her interest is in strengthening the capacity of organisations and governments agencies, to generate and use evidence to inform better policy decisions.

Her PhD research focuses on Financial inequity in healthcare, the associated socioeconomic disadvantages and policy implications in Sub-Saharan Africa.
