Dr. Ali Safarnejad

Ali Safarnejad is currently a Senior Strategic Information Adviser for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS in Hanoi, Viet Nam. In this role, he provides technical advisory support to the Ministry of Health in monitoring and evaluation of the HIV response, and introduces catalytic innovations in surveillance of the epidemic. He has been working with the United Nations since 2001. Prior to joining the UN, Ali worked in the private sector on realtime analysis of data. He earned his BSc and MSc at the University of Maryland, and another MSc at the Tulane University School of Law.
