Dr. Victor Cebotari

Victor Cebotari (PhD Maastricht University) is currently a researcher at UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti. He is also affiliated with UNU-MERIT. In 2016, Victor was a member of the founding team of Social Policy Research Institute (SPRI) in Belgium. Over years, Victor was the recipient of a number of competitive research funding that includes a Marie Curie PhD fellowship, a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship, a Leibniz-DAAD grant, and an Ernst Mach fellowship. During his career, Victor worked in large- and small-scale research projects funded by NORFACE, UNICEF, UNDP, European Commission, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO), Gates Foundation, and a number of governmental agencies in Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Victor’s research interests span migration, child development, social policy, and education. His methodological area of work is broadly mixed and includes applied econometric and statistical modeling but also qualitative techniques and emerging methodologies such as configurational comparative analysis.
