Dr. Eduardo Urias is Research Fellow at UNU-MERIT since September 2014. He received his PhD in Economics and Policy Studies of Technical Change from UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University in October 2015. He has published in Research Policy, Social Science and Medicine, among others. He is currently working on access to medicines, sectorial innovation systems, and societal transitions. He was also awarded a research grant from the CAPES Foundation under the aegis of the Ministry of Education of Brazil (grant n. 1020-12-9). Eduardo has a Bachelor degree in Economics from São Paulo State University and a Masters degree in Scientific and Technological Policy from Campinas State University in Brazil. He is one of the co-founders of Elabora Consultoria, in São Paulo that provides studies and services to assess, design and implement innovation-based competitive strategies and public policies to promote innovation. Eduardo is a lecturer at the Athena Institute at VU Amsterdam, where he teaches Organisational Behaviour and supervise master students.
