3. MERIT/UNU-INTECH PhD Internship Programme Alumni

From its establishment in 1991 until December 2005, the UNU-INTECH PhD Internship programme has provided support for 61 PhD advanced candidates from 28 countries to spend periods of between three to six months at the Institute and complete a part of their dissertation. In addition to providing the interns with access to the latest knowledge resources in the broad area of technology, innovation, and economic development, the scheme has provided a valuable opportunity for young scholars to interact with a broad network of researchers and experts in their field, further broadening their horizons and enhancing their professional contacts in their field of specialisation.
