| description |
The costs of research are an important motive behind the vision of a European Research Area, which - at the end - should reduce the transactions costs of international projects, increase competition, and raise productivity in Europe. There is a lack of knowledge about the differences of costs in research between countries, sectors and over time. This project attempts to fill some of these gaps. The aim of this project is to shed light on the evolution of the costs of research, including its main components, over time as well as to study differences between sectors and countries. In addition, it is relevant to consider the differences between private and public organisations, not least because there is collaboration between the two sectors. |
