Innovative Web Tool for making R&D policy choices launched The European Commission has launched an innovative web portal to help policymakers to explore alternative policy scenarios for promoting R&D investments, and to fine-tune their chosen mix of policies and public financing instruments. The portal builds upon the results of the recently completed "Policy Mix" project, undertaken by a consortium of seven European-based research organizations and coordinated by UNU-MERIT. In navigating the site, policymakers will be guided towards concrete "policy mix" experiences in EU countries, relevant research results, and some theoretical considerations underlying various policy mixes. The project team was led by Claire Nauwelaers, coordinator of the UNU-MERIT research group on the governance of science, technology and innovation. |
