The United Nations University is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Bart Verspagen as the next Director of the UNU Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT). Professor Verspagen is an economist specializing in the economics of technological change. Before joining Maastricht University, he previously worked at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences, Eindhoven University of Technology, and the University of Oslo. Director-Designate Verspagen will take up the post on 1 September 2012. |
