Sustainability was the focus of our blog in the first week of June 2012. Ajay Thutupalli reported on two events at the University of Sussex, prompting him to ask whether scientists and policy makers are ‘Playing God for Sustainability?’ Meanwhile Carlos Cadena Gaitán weighed the power of citizen action in Colombia, with a story on transport policies in large urban areas. Both stressed the need for evidence-based policy making and strong civic action. |
