Services

The Charles M. Cooper Library at UNU-MERIT also provides other services besides access to the electronic and print collections. As a specialized research library several other services are also offered:

ILL
The Charles M. Cooper Library offers access to four different InterLibrary Loan networks:

The Dutch NCC system                     
The British Library Document Supply
The IFLA Voucher Scheme
The UNU system

SDI
Current awareness services have always been an integral part of research library services and the Charles M. Cooper has supplied these in various forms over the years. In its current incarnation SDI is being promoted with the use of several, topical, RSS feeds.

User Access
There are two dedicated user terminals in the library present, each with a separate set of resources. There is also a remote access option available for the institute’s staff and students. For availability and use please ask at the library desk.

Photocopying / Scanning  
The library offers the opportunity to copy or scan parts of publications, within copy-right law, to its users. This is a free service.

Literature Research
Literature research in on-line databases and other resources is carried out upon request. Also help in compiling and correcting reference lists for publications is available upon request.

Research Information Literacy
Personal assistance in, and guides to, information retrieval are also available for any new user and on request.
