Théophile Azomahou is Senior Research Fellow at United Nations University (UNU-MERIT) and Professor of Development Economics at Maastricht University (School of Business and Economics). He was previously assistant and associate Professor of Economics at University of Strasbourg, where he received a PhD degree in economics. He was invited Professor at University of Luxembourg and has also occupied the Chair of Econometrics at `The Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (Paris)'. Azomahou's research includes development economics (sustainable human development, demography and health, poverty analysis, environment, social protection, intergenerational mobility, program evaluation, field experiments), economic theory and econometrics.
