Théophile Azomahou received his Ph.D and the Habilitation degree in economics from the University of Strasbourg (France). He has been assistant and associate Professor of economics in the same University, invited Professor at the University of Luxembourg, University of Montpellier 1 (France) and University of Lorraine, Nancy (France). He has also occupied the chair of Econometrics at The École des Ponts ParisTech (Paris), one of the world's oldest engineering institutes which has been training the elite of French engineers for over two centuries. At Maastricht University, he holds the chair of Development Economics. Théophile Azomahou's research focuses on development economics, econometrics and economic theory.
