Evans Mupela joined the PhD programme on Economics and Policy Studies of Technical Change in October 2005. He is based at Walter Sisulu University of Technology in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where he lectures in Computer Science. His main research interest is in the effect of telecommunications, satellite technology in particular, on African development.
