Dr. Atchaka Brimble

Mrs. Atchaka Brimble is the Director-General of the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), the Ministry of Industry, Thailand. She plays an active role in recommending appropriate and effective industrial development policies and strategies for the country's industrial development plans; monitoring reports on sectoral industrial situation as bases for policy and planning of industrial development as well as resolutions to problems; and the technological development of various industries. Prior to joining the Office of Industrial Economics, she was Senior Executive Investment Advisor to the Assistant Secretary-General of the Office of Board of Investment where she was active in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Thailand and promoting Thai overseas investment. In addition, she is a member of the board of the Thailand Automotive Institute, Electrical and Electronics Institute, Iron and Steel Institue and Thailand Textile Institute. She is also a member of the Board of Director of the Export-Import Bank of Thailand and an advisor to the Executive Committee of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion. She is regularly invited to lecture at a number of universities, including Thammasat and Chulalongkorn University.
