    Wikipedia shoots itself in the foot: An update on the Update: Nature fires back / original post: britannica fires at nature (hitting wikipedia)

    Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia’s founder, has recently declared that Wikipedia is not a definite source of information, thus vindicating Brittanica’s struggle and perhaps getting Nature into trouble.

    The Chronicle reports that Mr. Wales confessed the above during a recent conference at the University of Pennsylvania called “The Hyperlinked Society”.

    He further advises students that in order to get a basic overview of a topic Wikipedia is a good resource, however students intending on delving deeper should use books…
